We had an incredibly special moment the other day. Where to begin… An old friend reached out a few months ago to say that someone very close to her, named Leslie, has been fighting cancer (leiomyosarcoma and a brain tumor) on and off for 20 years. The recent days and treatments have been exceptionally difficult. When asked how she stays positive and finds joy, Leslie said she often visits a certain Instagram account and watches videos of these two yellow labs. See where this is going? Yes, Leslie happens to be a huge @dognamedstella fan, and she’s been following for years not knowing of the close connection with our mutual friend. So the idea was to surprise Leslie, and surprise her we did. There was laughter, there were tears, and it was truly a beautiful moment. Leslie, your strength is beyond belief, and words cannot capture what it means for us to play a part in helping you find joy in these seemingly dark times. The spinning wheel of content creation can make me lose sight of why I started doing this in the first place - to make people laugh (through the power of dogs) and feel something. Meeting you has reinvigorated my sense of purpose and helped me focus on what really matters. Thank you. #somuchlove #keepbeingyou #dogsofmaine #dognamedstella
