Bacon and Pea Ditali π₯ππ« Ditali (or Ditalini) is a mini tubular pasta shape commonly used for soups - but I wanted to do something a little creamier with it π€ Ingredients: -200g Ditali pasta, dry -2 tbsp bacon fat -1 shallot, diced -3/4 cup heavy cream -1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated (plus more for serving) -1 cup peas -4 strips bacon, cooked and finely chopped -Salt & pepper, to taste Instructions: 1. Cook the pasta al dente according to the directions on the package. 2. Meanwhile, heat bacon fat in a large skillet over medium. Add shallot and cook for 3 minutes or until tender, stirring frequently. 3. Add cream and parmesan cheese. Continue to stir until the sauce begins to thicken. 4. To the sauce, add the cooked pasta, peas, and bacon. Stir to combine; add salt and pepper to your taste. 5. Serve immediately with fresh parmesan cheese grated on top.
