1922 Zenith. We recently featured this bike on our account and it had a lot of interest so here's another slightly different video of it so you can see more moving parts. If you'd like to see more of this bike scroll a few posts back to see more detailed photos and then even further back to see another slightly different video. Machine is owned by Ian from Verralls classic motorcycle shop. We asked Ian about the bike and this is what he told us: “The bike was originally fitted with a J.A.P or Blackburne engine. The engine is now a modified 1900 De Dion bottom end, barrel and piston. We think it was built in the late 1920s. It has a water cooled cylinder head of unknown manufacture. Radiator forms the front of what would usually be the fuel tank. The head incorporates a vertical rotary sleeve valve. This is chain driven from the crank shaft via a pair of skew gears. Thanks to Hayley and the team at Brooklands Museum and Martin, Perry and the rest of the Brooklands Motorcycle Team for having us along on the day - @Brooklands Museum Special thanks to Julie Diplock for organising the event and inviting us along.
