Does your gas stove have a warning label? ⚠️ Because it should… gas stoves release harmful toxins into the air, even when we’re not using them. Carbon monoxide, benzene, nitrogen dioxide, formaldehyde (yes, the stuff they use for embalming…) are all released into the air. But this isn’t the individual's fault, nor responsibility. Big oil has paid billions of dollars marketing methane as “natural” clean gas, when in reality it’s extremely polluting and toxic. Children in homes with gas stoves have a 42% higher chance of developing asthma. But just like we check the labels on our food, we should check labels on these harmful appliances, and a step to create more awareness is for gas stoves to come with a warning label.
