Working out barefoot or wearing barefoot shoes helps to build strength and stability with the stabilizing muscles of the foot and ankle, as well as improve balance, proprioception, and our overall athletic performance. Our feet are the foundations of our entire body, therefore they need to be strong and function properly!🦶 Cushioned and narrow 👟 provide unnatural support and limit the feeling and the moment of our toes, which in turn can affect our whole posture and alignment of our hips and pelvis, not to mention, one of the main causes of knee pain 😵 Spending more time barefoot also helps us to feel more to connected to our environment, and allows us to move much easier and more freely when we practice natural movements 👌 If you’re completely new to barefoot training, start with some simple bodyweight movements, like a squat and a lunge, just so that you can gradually progress onto more advanced movements!
