The guy talking is a retired Army Ranger from 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment who jumped into Panama at 500ft during the invasion in December of 1989 then was wounded in combat. After recovering from his wounds he graduated Ranger School September 11th, 1990 in Class 9-90. He eventually went into Special Forces and fought in Iraq. At the time this was the minimum standards for Ranger School training. Ranger Instructors back then almost always exceeded the standard requirements on the students to pass. Schedule: 19.6 hours of training per day, 7 days a week, 65 consecutive days, including processing. Phase One: Darby Phase, 17 days at Fort Benning, Ga. Phase Two: Mountain Phase, 16 days near Dahlonega, Ga. Phase Three: Swamp Phase, 16 days at Camp James E. Rudder near Elgin Air Force Base, Fl Phase Four: Desert Phase, 14 days at Dugway, Utah (this phase no longer exists after the 4 deaths of Ranger students in 1995).
