Being a parent on holidays can be hard. I was being hard on myself for not putting together a vday basket or getting them matching pajamas. The baby is the sickest shes ever been, cooper is out of school all week and derek is on shift for 4 days? Or is it 5 days? Idk. But, the baby finally napped. I had supplies in the closet, and I got to craft which is one of my favorite things to do. I picked the girls up from school and got to surprise everyone with their cards, and guess what? No one complained they didnt get candy, or clothes or anything else. I got hugs and kisses and told I was the best mom. There have been years ive made the baskets, years I didnt do anything, and years like this when ive made something. Dont let comparison on the internet bring you down, whether thats what you did for the kids, what your partner got you, what you got them. How did you make them feel today?
