What Went Wrong ⬇️⬇️ It’s entirely possible I just did this activity wrong, but as someone that does A LOT of activities, this one just felt frictiony.. like it just wasn’t quite going right and quite frankly, wasn’t work the mess. What went wrong.. it was messy, murky, and my kids didn’t love it. (See more of my thoughts below)   Supplies: Glass container (ideally can hold around 4 cups) ~2 cups Water 1-2 tbsp Baking Soda (I used 2 and it felt like too much) ~2 cups Vinegar Conversation Hearts   Directions (Do this somewhere easy to clean): 1. Fill first half of container with water. 2. Add baking soda, stir. Let settle until clear (15-30 seconds) 3. Add conversation hearts. 4. Add vinegar 5. Watch hearts dance   Some of my random thoughts on it: ✨Don’t use too much baking soda – I used 2 tbsp as the directions I was using recommended.  Felt like too much in hindsight. ✨Super messy – Maybe this is just part of it, sometimes messy is good (didn’t feel that way though) ✨My kids honestly didn’t love it. The reaction continues for several minutes and they asked to be done before the hearts stopped “dancing” ✨The container got murky from the candy melting in it.. Didn’t expect this as most I have seen online are clear (maybe just shown earlier in the experiment before the candy melts) ✨Too use too many hearts – I felt like a bunch of mine got stuck together on the bottom. I had to stir them to get them off which resulted in the vinegar going over the edge) ✨This is not to say you shouldn’t try it..
