Indiana state Rep. Jim Lucas, a Republican, revealed to a group of students advocating for stricter gun control measures at the statehouse that he himself was carrying a holstered firearm as he was talking to them. Lucas flashed the firearm while telling the group of high school students that a person isn’t ‘truly free if you can't defend yourself.' Indiana lawmakers and their staff are allowed to carry firearms in and around the grounds of the Capitol, and a proposed bill looks to expand that rule to other members of the state’s government. #jimlucas#republican#guncontrol#indianaoriginal sound
