Throwback to 2022 when social media convinced me i was doing something wrong by posting pictures of 50’s ads that had women who looked similar to me. 🫠 Prior to making this post i had a very personal page and the only engagement i received across all of my social media platforms was from friends and family. After watching this post go viral and the thousands of comments bringing race into a simple post that had nothing to do with it, i felt in the wrong and heavily confused. The nasty comments just hit me hard and I remember after posting for a couple months i took a huge step back and stopped posting for months due to lack of understanding where this was coming from. I started posting again in 2023 once i had more of an idea where this was coming from. I also learned that if i wanted to post a lifestyle that is so often taken out of context i had to have thick skin when it came down to the criticism and lies being told about me and the other women in this traditional wife social media circle. The wh!te $uprem comments never stopped, in fact they got worse after multiple articles were written labeling this tradwife movement as a racial movement that sets women back. I can’t express how disturbing it is to watch the most kind and wholesome women i have seen on social media get called these terrible names when none of us support that kind of hate. The tradwives you see online enjoy contributing to a growing community that showcases their own variation of homemaking. Please stop trusting these articles that are bashing a simple way of living because i can promise there is a reason they are pushing this negative narrative about tradwives, and it’s not because its the truth. #throwback #homemaking #myfirstviralpost #tradwife #traditionalwife #traditionalmarriage
