Cheesy Calamares 🧀🦑 This dish is a twist and my own interpretation of the Filipino street food classic - Cheese sticks and ketchup mayo. It came out really tasty especially thanks to Knorr Professional’s Liquid Seasoning that really stuck to the squid during marination! Highly recommend you try this dish out for your next handaan. INGREDIENTS: Squid & Marinade: - 1 kg Frozen Squid Rings - 1 egg - 1/4 cup Knorr Professional Liquid Seasoning - 2 tbsp Garlic Powder - 1 tbsp Paprika - 1 Lemon, juiced - Pepper - 3/4 cup flour - 3/4 cup rice flour Dry Breading: - sweet potato starch - 1/4 cup Knorr Professional Chicken Powder - water to form bits Ketchup Mayo: - Equal parts banana ketchup and mayonnaise Coating: - Cheese powder INSTRUCTIONS: - Marinade squid in ingredients listed above for at least 30 mins - Mix together chicken powder/sweet potato starch and about 1/2 cup of water to form little bits that will be crispy later on. - Coat squid in flour mixture and deep fry at 165C for about 5 mins. Remove and let cool and double-fry at a higher temp 180C+ for 1-2 mins or until golden and crispy. - Transfer to bowl and immediately coat with cheese powder. Toss to combine and serve with your ketchup mayo sauce! #asmr #cookingasmr
