N°1 of hopefully a series of fun rainy day training games! For me this skill is a non negotiable for any horse that I will be riding with a bit. Their very first interaction with the bit happens when the bridle goes on. If they are apprehensive about that we are already setting a precedent for how they will feel about contact with the rider. I think AI has its limitations when it comes to judging but for things like this it cluld go a long way for improving horse’s welfare in the sport. Who remembers when i shared my first rides on this horse…? 🥲 already 3 years ago he’s 6 years old now and still every bit as perfect ❤️. I started introducing some little jumps into his training. Friesians may not be particularly gifted jumpers but with the right training every (healthy) horse should be able to do some low level cavaletti and jumps. #friesianhorse #classicaldressage #horsetraining #younghorse
