Our 2023 Recap āØJanuary started off slowly.. (as it should) there was a lot of planning and strategizing for the months ahead plus the creation of our first ever APOTHECARY item our āFor the Money Sprayā which then introduced our For the Money Kits that came later in the year. āØFebruary was a little more upbeat.. & although I was 8 months pregnant I didnāt miss a beat.. from Valentineās Day Markets, to selling out our first drop limited edition Valentineās Day candles (A Walk in the Meadows).. To attending many Black History Markets. February was a definitely that month. š āØMarch was a little slower, which was needed.. since this was the month I got married. š„° āØApril is when our social media took off.. we gained so many followers from all interaction But the best part of all, was welcoming my little spring baby š„¹ āØMay-August was all about recovery.. mental and physical.. I took some much needed time away to reset and regroup after having my baby.. still maintaining and managing the backend of the A little piece of ZenVen.. āØSeptember was our first official month back to markets. I felt so overwhelmed, yet so excited to be back at it.. The rush of excitement from finally seeing all of the downtime preparation in front of me.. š āØOctober was another big month for us.. āŗļø we connected with () the artist who creates the tarot decks (New Moon Tarot) we sell. To think this order was packed by the artist/creator with A little piece of ZenVen in mind, So DAMN COOL! This was also the month we got our first official stampersā¦ ifykyk āØ November our busiest month yet. We attended 10 different markets in November! We were gearing up for the holiday season and ready for the month ahead.. āØDecemberā¦ I ended with a pretty bad knee injury the 1st day of the month.. The high of this year had quickly came crashing down.. I felt like it was all over and all our hard work was for nothing.. Iām of no use if Iām injured (is what I felt) and if Iām of no use where does that leave A little piece of ZenVen. But through all the stress came hope & a shifted mindset.. As I write this out.. I can honestly say, getting injured was the best thing to happen to me.. (I know crazy huh?) š
but thereās a reason behind that statement.. Getting injured allowed me time to be fully present, again.. I got to enjoy the essence of my children more intentionally. I connected with my family & made time for things I hadnāt made time for in years.. but most of allā¦ I got to take life.. Just a little slower.. & tbh without this injury I never wouldāve made time for slowness.. So, I say all of that to say this.. life is really what you make of it.. so just make the best of it.. the ups, the downs, the good, the badā¦ all the ebbs and flows.. just allow yourself to grow, and watch the beauty that will unfold.. & speaking of beauty we got the greatest gift in December, our new logo backdrop (last photo in reel).. Soā¦ now when you see us at our markets next year, youāll know A little piece of ZenVen is here! š Hereās to 2023! & here we come 2024! š„ Stay blessed, Queens. š¤ . . . . . #smallblackbusiness #smallblackwomenownedbuisness #utahblackowned #utahownedbusiness #supportlocalsmallbusinesses #zenventhoughts
