Thumbprint Cookies 1 cup softened butter 3/4 cup sugar 1 tsp vanilla extract 2 cups all purpose flour Your favorite jelly or jam Pre-heat oven to 350° Into your mixer add butter, sugar and vanilla. Mix for 1 minute. Add flour in a 1/2 cup at a time. Now it’s time to roll into balls. I use a small scoop to measure out the size of my cookies. After you form the cookie dough balls, you can roll them around in sugar or not. Place onto your baking sheet, slightly flatten them out. I use a measuring spoon to make the thumbprint.
