NUGGET NIGHT!!! I’m posting in hopes that this can shed some light in your lives. We are currently experiencing a tragedy at Marion Area Humane Society and we wants to share as much positivity right now as we can. A CanineDistemper outbreak has occurred and we are in the middle of it right now. Distemper is catastrophic in shelters like ours. We are a very small shelter with no Vet on staff, this has been the hardest thing we have ever went through at MAHS. Healthy dogs are being infected and we are struggling to pull them out of it. Distemper is a very deadly disease and we are doing our very best to get every dog through it alive. We have lost 5 so far and our hearts are broken.
