Your brain is constantly overthinking every bit of sensory information scanning your environment, your interactions with people, your relationships, your job, your house, and everything in your life for safety. This takes up soooo much energy. Constant exhaustion = hypervigilance. Put simply you're living in a heightened state of sensitivity and constantly accessing potential threats around you. A lot of times you can actually consciously be aware that this is happening so you might consider yourself an over thinker and consciously find that very exhausting.
