This is a Chinese herbal formula used to treat eye strain, dry eyes, blurred vision, sensitivity to light, excessive tearing, floaters, glaucoma, and cataracts. Known as Vision Teapills or Mingmu Dihuang, it can also alleviate symptoms of vertigo and tinnitus, and reduce dark circles and eye bags. This formula is now available on our site đ A 2008 study on dry eyes showed that after 4 weeks of using MMDH, the patientsâ symptoms, including eye fatigue, dryness, and foreign body sensation, were significantly improved. In a 2013 study in which patients with retinopathy (damage to retinal blood vessels resulting in blurred vision and floaters) received either a Chinese herbal treatment or a standard western medicine treatment, MMDH had a 92.5% effectiveness rate compared to a 65.0% rate of western treatment. In a 2022 study published in Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity, MMDH was found to effectively relieve acute oxidative damage in the retinal pigment epithelium. We have summarized other studies on cataracts and amblyopia (a condition resulting in decreased vision) on our site. Vision Teapills is also successfully used to treat eye disease in animals. In one case study, a cat diagnosed with severe glaucoma was taken to a veterinarian who prescribed Timolol eye drops. After no success, the cat was referred to a board-certified ophthalmologist, who attempted to treat the glaucoma, but the cat did not respond significantly. The ophthalmologist then recommended bilateral enucleation (surgical eye removal) as the best option to control the pain and unresponsive elevated intraocular pressure. The owner then sought out Chinese medicine treatment. The cat received acupuncture and MMDH, and after one week, the catâs intraocular pressure dropped from 40 to 36mm (L) and 59 to 47mm (R). At two weeks, they dropped to 30mm and 40mm, and the cat was no longer in pain. After one year, acupuncture was discontinued and the cat was maintained on MMDH alone. After 2 years, tue cat was doing extremely well with no signs of glaucoma or pain, and stable intraocular pressures. . . #chinesemedicine #dryeyes #eyehealth #eyestrain #floaters #glaucoma #nearsighted
