I wish this was clickbait 😅 In my entire career as a Live Wedding Painter, only two surprises have ever been foiled before the discussed “surprise moment”. The other was my very first live wedding painting. I actually mistook one of the groomsmen to be the groom and was avoiding the wrong person during my set up. 🤦‍♀️ Despite all this, I would never sacrifice how the day runs and the quality of the painting for the sake of the perfect surprise moment. All of my surprise clients know this and usually choose a “whenever they see it” approach to revealing the surprise, which is what Tina, my lovely bride, went with. I have never been so moved at a wedding. Jess & Tom’s love story is filled with serendipity, tragidy, and so much love. I did not know I was a gift from their grandmother until the wedding day. I was so incredibly moved, and shed some tears when I learned she did not make it to the wedding. This painting is so incredibly special to me. Jess & Tom’s wedding was one of those where everything fell into place in the most beautiful way. They enquired with me before having set a wedding date. They asked which dates I had available and I was booked out for all but one. That one date happened to be their 10 year anniversary, and that’s the day they decided to marry. 🥰

I felt all the feels creating Gen & Steven’s painting. Their energy was so warm, bubbly, and fun. They gave me a lot if creative freedom, just letting me jnow they wanted to feature the white building and flowers in the background.
