Oh please land the on the right side of tiktok, this is such a touchy topic but i really so believe that this needs to be talked about bc the reality for 60-70% of us.. we find ourselves sharing and co-sleeping even if it’s just for a night or once in awhile feed. While i 1000% know that baby in the bassinet is still recommended as the safest sleep option, there needs to be a bigger discussion about safer sleep guidines for when that option is exhausted. With my first we didn’t have to worry about the thought of it bc our daughter loved being swaddled, sleeping in her own space, and NOT touched. But our second is wildly different and seems to be more sensitive, attached, and super frustrated if left to himself at night. While we have transitioned him to the bassinet and swaddled the past couple weeks.. he still have some spouts and nights where he fights for hours to sleep. And then moment he lays next to me.. hes out. I dont see this as a forever thing for us, but sleep deprivation has way more risks currently than to share my bed in the safest way i can. Safe Sleep Seven is a series of guidelines designed to make bed sharing safer for a baby and their parents. Essentially these are the recommendations: no smoke, sober mom baby at your breast healthy baby on his back keep him lightly dressed not too soft a bed watch the cords and gaps keep the covers off his head for your nights and naps Id love to hear your thoughts! - - #newbornbaby #newbornlife #newbornbabies #fyp #foryoupage #cosleeping #bedshare #sleeptraining #momsover30 #firsttimemom #secondbaby #pospartum #postpartumjourney
