Replying to @StellaronHuntsman So about that era of global boiling.. Statements like the one made by UN Secretary General António Guterres aren't meant to make you believe it's too late. They are instead meant to get our world leaders, corporations, and even ordinary people to stand up and take action. As the climate crisis rolls on, you will be seeing more rhetoric like this because things are dire. Don't let it convince you things are hopeless, though, because they aren't. Instead look at scientists, activists, frontline communities -- and in particular, indigenous communities. Are we giving up? Absolutely not. We're just fighting harder for a better future. I understand knowing where to begin with activism can feel overwhelming, so my task for you is to contact your local government and ask them if they've adopted a climate action plan. If they have, ask how you can get involved. If they haven't, open a dialogue with your community about adopting one.
