JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a suspect authorities say killed a man Tuesday morning at a North Jackson apartment complex. Marcus Johnson, 33, is being charged with murder and shooting into an occupied dwelling in connection with the incident, which left Carlos Collins dead. The shooting occurred at the Tapestry Northridge Apartments on Parkway Drive. The complex is located at the site of the old Colonial Country Club golf course, almost across the street from JPD’s Precinct Four. Johnson, who worked with the Jackson Police Department for eight months in 2013, is considered armed and dangerous.
