How to fake a flat felled seam 🤫 this is not a true flat felled seam because technically one side is weaker than the other. It still gives the look and feel of a flat felled seam, and in my opinion it’s more beginner friendly. I recommend making your seam allowance on the larger side for this seam, typically I stick with 1cm but for this seam I did 1.5cm. After ironing the seam flat, you need to trim one side of the seam allowance, I’d aim for the halfway mark. Next is the fiddly part, you need to fold the larger seam allowance over the smaller seam allowance and tuck it under. If it makes it any easier feel free to iron here and check your fold is even and parallel. Now you want to sew your fold down close to the edge and voila! You’ve just sewn a beautiful, sensory friendly and beginner seam, I’m so proud of you 😗🤍 #teaganjacobs #fashiontok #fashiondesigner #sewinghacks #sewtok #sewingtutorial #sewingtricks #sewingtips #sewingtutorial
