Let’s talk about Fortaleza’s Lot 150! If you are a tequila fan you know Fortaleza has special releases every so often and of course the Winterblends that come out every year. The newest special release is Lot150 to celebrate the 150th lot of course. This time Fortaleza found some of THE very best agaves in the Valley region. They cooked it and milled it like they always do in a steam oven and with a Tahona. Fermentation is the most important part of the production and that’s where they changed it a bit. Lot 150 is the first time Fortaleza used agave fibers in the fermentation tank. The Distillation was done like the previous special batch, the coveted Lot 100.
