Let’s get honest and real here. I’ve been creating content on social media for 13 years since I started blogging as a medical student at Stanford taking a gap year to pursue medical journalism. 13 years of writing, then taking pictures, then creating videos, from short form to long form. Social media portrays a snapshot into our lives, a carefully curated beautiful snapshot of how we want to be seen. But I’m tired of how surface level everything has become. I crave real conversations about our journeys and struggles through motherhood and fatherhood, infertility, being an immigrant or a minority in medicine, imposter syndrome, juggling being a parent with our work responsibilities, how we make time for self care and mental health, and much more. So I’m creating that space for raw conversations about how we are going through life, the good the bad and the ugly. Spilling the Tea with Dr. Joyce is my newest project, a podcast featuring unfiltered conversations with guests you know and love, that tackle the topics we don’t talk about on social media. First episode is dropping this Friday 👀 I cannot wait to share these conversations with you 💛
