Follow Us If You Love Adventure Travel! 🤙🏼🤙🏾 - Montserrat, Spain refers to a mountain range and a multi-peaked mountain located near the city of Barcelona in Catalonia, Spain. It is known for its unique rock formations and the Santa Maria de Montserrat Abbey, which is situated on one of the peaks. The mountain range is a popular destination for tourists, pilgrims, and nature lovers due to its natural beauty, cultural significance, and various activities it offers, such as hiking, rock climbing, and exploring the abbey. Montserrat holds great religious and historical importance in Catalonia and is considered a symbol of Catalan identity. - 🚂 GETTING THERE! Start by heading to Barcelona’s Plaça d’Espanya, a major transportation hub. From there, look for the FGC (Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya) train station located within the square. Purchase a ticket for the R5 line, which is the train that goes to Montserrat. Board the train and enjoy the approximately one-hour scenic journey through the Catalan countryside. Once you arrive at the Montserrat-Aeri station, you can choose between two options to reach the abbey and mountain’s main area. a. Funicular: Take the Santa Cova funicular, a cable car that will transport you closer to the abbey and hiking trails. b. Cremallera: Ride the Cremallera de Montserrat, a cogwheel train that takes you directly to the abbey. After reaching the abbey, you can explore the area on foot, visit the museum, hike the trails, or enjoy the stunning vistas from the top. When you’re ready to return to Barcelona, simply reverse your journey by taking the train back from Montserrat-Aeri station to Plaça d’Espanya. #travelbucketlist#spain#barcelona#montserrat#travelgolden hour

Tips for visiting 👇🏼 - #1 Tip If You’re Planning a Trip Here! The balloons either all go up - or none go up! The government makes the call on if the weather is good enough to fly each morning, but most mornings they’re good to go! That being said…if you’re planning to visit Cappadocia specifically for the balloons, make sure you plan to be there at least 3 mornings just in case weather is bad! We’ve heard of people coming in for the day and missing the flight because weather happened to be bad…how crushing! HOW TO SEE THE BALLOONS: 1. Go for a flight! You can arrange this directly through every hotel in the are! 2. Watch one morning from your hotels rooftop terrace (so cool). 3. Go for a hike or find a remote spot where you’re all alone to watch! We did this and hired a photographer to capture it for us so we could really just focus on the moment!

Intimate Gender Reveal In Austria! 🇦🇹 - Before we left on this trip, we went in for our 20 week ultrasound, and had the sonographer write down the gender and seal it in an envelope. Then we had our friend come over and pack a set of flowers (either blue or pink) in a bag and we put them directly into our luggage! On the 3rd day of our trip, we did the epic hike to the Austrian Olperhütte and suspension bridge and decided it was the perfect place to pull out the flowers and give ourselves a surprise reveal! This was such a fun way to surprise ourselves…and we can’t wait to be GIRL PARENTS!! 👶🏽🎉 - #genderreveal #genderrevealideas #travelcouple #travelbucketlist

Follow Us If You Love Travel! ✈️🌎 - Which one of these places is the highest on your bucket list?! - 1. Azores, Portugal 🇵🇹 These islands are known as the “Hawaii of Europe” and while they are technically Portugal, they are wayyyyyyy off the coast! Best time to visit here is definitely May-September to avoid the rainy season. 2. The Dolomites, Italy 🇮🇹 These mountains and crystal blue lakes are incredible and you need to see them in person. If you can catch Fall colors here it’s extra special! Shoot for mid-October most years! 3. Glacier National Park, Montana 🇺🇸 This is our favorite national park! Best to visit in July-August to make sure snow has cleared and all trails and roads have opened up! The video here shows the Iceberg Lake trail! 4. Hallstatt, Austria 🇦🇹 We just got back from here and it was amazing! It’s a super cool picturesque village in Austria not far from Salzburg. If you come here, plan at least one overnight in the village so you can catch sunrise without as many tourists! 5. Chiang Mai, Thailand 🇹🇭 Chiang Mai in general is an incredible city (with so much goooooood food!) Just outside of the city you’ll find this Elephant Sanctuary called Chai Lai Orchid. Do research and make sure you find an ethical elephant sanctuary that doesn’t allow riding. - #travel #travelbucketlist #thailand #austria #glaciernationalpark #dolomites #azores

We get clouds more often than sun 😂 anyone else?! - Hiking Machu Picchu Mountain is an epic add on hike you can do when you’re visiting the wonder of the world. - They only let a certain number of people do the hike each day, so you need to get a permit if you want to do this hike! - This is NOT the MAIN hike or main viewing point of Machu Picchu. - It’s a pretty brutal hike 😂 I think it’s only about a mile long, but it is straight up 1,600 stairs, (2000+ ft) and you’re already at elevation where air is likely more thin than you’re used to. - We spent one day enjoying Machu Picchu in a more traditional way, then spent a night in the nearby town of Agua Calientes, and came back to climb Machu Picchu mountain the next morning! - One thing to know…Machu Picchu is OFTEN clouded over early in the morning, so it might be best in general to wait until mid-morning to visit. If you do arrive to find clouds, just wait it out as long as you can and hopefully they’ll break! - Would we do this hike again? Good question… - #travelbucketlist #peru #machupicchu
