info
It was a Thursday on July 15th, 1976. 26 kids ages 5-14 years of age had boarded their bus to go swimming at the Chowchilla Fairgrounds swimming pool. Frank Edward Ray, who liked to go by as Ed boarded the kids up on the bus and headed back. It was a successful and fun morning up until disaster struck. 3 men named James Schoenfeld, Richard Schoenfeld, and Frederick Newhall Woods IV boarded the bus and demanded they leave with them. After their escape, the children dealt with PTSD and panic attacks. But this story's end is much more grim than you would hope. In 2012, and 2015 two of them were released and the 3rd was paroled just last year. #truecrimetok #retrohistory #1976 #the70s
