There’s really no need to lift your back leg off the ground and create instability on single leg deadlifts. If you focus on keeping the weight on your front leg, the back leg can stay grounded and not interfere with your front leg. With the added stability, you can increase intensity (via weight or reps) without balance being a limiting factor.
