Runes used and why: Othala - to represent your home Algiz - to provide safe refuge and banish all things negative Tiwaz - to give you the courage of the norse god Tyr to overcome anything in your way & to help you keep the peace within your home and sanctuary  Laguz - to represent the physical cleansing of your space to help banish any negativity from within the home HOW I USE: Before cleansing your home open all doors and windows. You can use herb bundles, incense or cleansing spray. Go through each room/hallway and spread the smoke/spray through that area. Say what you're doing out loud to put it into the universe. Say whatever you're comfortable with. If you aren't comfortable speaking make a loud noise (sound cleansing)  I also thoroughly clean my entire house and body before smoke/spray cleansing my home. I would then carve this bindrune into the wood, cleanse the wood (or whatever other material you make it with) and then hang in all entrances/doorways of my home.
