Memento Mori. The Latin phrase literally means “remember death”. It is an artistic or symbolic reminder that the inevitably of death is what gives our lives purpose and meaning. Throughout Abercorn Cemetery there are many graves dating as far back as the 17th and 18th Century. Many of these graves carry symbolic reminders of death.
