The good and the bad 👇🏼 1. The scenery - it’s like Jurassic Park. 2. The wildlife- sloths, parrots, monkeys and lizards everywhere! 3. The people are lovely and I felt safe to drive around as a single parent with my 3 girls- safer than London often! 4. The food is 🤤 5. It’s easy to drive around, one main road down the coast and low speed limit 6. It’s a great base for exploring Central and South American countries! BUT! 1. It is NOT cheap. I’m saying this because a) it’s true, this trip cost a lot of money and b) I’ve seen about how saying a country is “cheap” can harm it because it just gets used by people from wealthier countries, and the less well-off country has to put up with things that it wouldn’t it it wasn’t relying on the tourist money. 2. If your child goes into hospital, you do not get a say in what treatment they have. I learned this from a friend who moved to CR last year. 3. There are earthquakes, nothing major recently but if you’ve been in an earthquake before and it freaked you out, maybe not the place for you. 4. It’s harder to get veggie/vegan food in restaurants than it is in the UK. 5. You will probably accidentally adopt one of the adorable (and sadly plentiful) street dogs, which will make the trip even more costly and land you with a 15 year commitment 👍🏼 #costarica #bestcountry #traveltok #sunsetlover #capcut
