Replying to @emily wAit, wHaT?? 💅🏻🤨 #gelnails #update #semicuredgelnailstrips #naturalnails #diynailsathome #diybeauty #nailsartvideos ⁉️ I can't wait to hear your thoughts- would you realistically try these and why or why not? the way I'm shocked that these didn't turn out too badly? And listen, everyone has different preferences and maybe having a peeling edge would drive you crazy - but maybe some of y'all don't want to sit down for hours to diy some nail art so this would be a good alternative. Note: I am not affiliated with Ohora in any way and this is not a sponsored video - if a video is sponsored by a brand, I will always disclose it and you'll see hashtag A D in the caption as well as the paid partnership label. These strips were sent to me in PR with no obligation, expectation, or payment to post - and I will always always test out a product to ensure I actually like it before accepting a sponsorship, I will never accept payment to hock a product I don't like or use. :) All opinions are always my own! ty and lysm Ohora gel strips are half price on Amazon rn 😯 : https://amzn.to/3PHe4hu ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 🛒 Amazon Storefront (nail care, nail art essentials, filming and lighting setup, etc) https://www.amazon.com/shop/thegraytergood 💧Drip Ring (code thegraytergood) https://mariejune.com/discount/thegraytergood (aff) I was kinda nervous about this but y’all really wanted me to try those gel strips that have been everywhere because I think we all wanna know if some of those videos are real, right? But here’s the thing - they’re not meant to be used as extensions, so are all those videos just people doing it wrong on purpose to try and have a viral moment? Perhaps. But let’s see what happens - and don’t mind the stains from some awful nail polish I tested a few weeks ago. So Once they’re cured like this, yup, they sound tappy and can punch into an apple, but when you try to trim them they just snap off and the result is pretty lumpy and doesn’t look great. So let’s try it again, this time following all the instructions, and I think it looks much better although it was still a little difficult to get a real smooth result, I think I was worried about accidentally filing down my real nail. But I wanted to see if they’d last so I wore them for three weeks, and even painted a mural with them and here’s the result - they’re all still on, a little stained from paint, and peeling a bit which can be a little annoying but honestly I like them more than I thought I would. I don’t love this thick edge but my nails do feel strong and supported - and I’m not giving up nail polish anytime soon but I would say these are a solid 7 out of 10 and I think it would be worth trying out to see if you like them too. Which I’m honestly surprised by. #gelstrips #ohora #gelnails
