My shopping addiction led to full blown hoarding at the age of 24. Although I joke about being a material girl, it’s usually a veil for the shame I hid behind the walls of my apartment. I’d spend the majority of my day shopping, and return home with handfuls of bags, only to be dumped into my unlivable bedroom, to have the process start all over the next day. There were many months where I couldn’t open the door to my bedroom. I slept on the couch.
