the maturity difference in teenagers is huge. Adults typically have the same experiences and understanding within a 5-10 year range. a 12 yr old dating a 16 yr old has a big gap with experiences like getting a job or working to save for something vs a 12 yr old would have not had anythimg up to experience against a 16 yr old. i think there are many ways to come across the age difference but i do not think its right personally. Plus the difference in brain and body development to 12 and 16 is insane.
