STORYTIME ON HOW WE FOUND & UPDATE ON THE DOGS FOUND ON THE 405 FREEWAY IN LOS ANGELES!! We still need help finding individual fosters for each dog - theyre both at the West LA animal shelter because no reacues would take them eithout them being palced on a sheltwr hold first (this is to ensure that owners have the option to come get their dogs) the black dog was chipped, the husky was not. So the black collie will be placed on a 10 day shelter hold, but the husky is on a three day shelter hold. Dogs are not euthanized at the West LA animal shelter unless they come into the shelter close to death or show signs of intense aggression towards people. And even still that’s not my first choice, but given that I only had a few hours to find a solution, I did my best for that timeframe. I am still looking for a rescue, please help me continue to find a rescue to take these girls in upon their release. I also want to make it known that I have posted these dogs on PawBoost, multiple Facebook groups in Los Angeles, and multiple people have re-posted, I posted them on social media, I posted them on the ring app, so I’m happy to help get them back to their owner. If their owner is a good person who loves them and cares for them properly. My first goal with these dogs has been to get them in the hands of somebody who could help because I was leaving and I wouldn’t be able to help. If I wasn’t traveling for the holidays, I would probably still have these dogs in my possession caring for them and getting them the medical attention that they need but with such a tight time crunch, it was a very hard situation to maneuver.
